Kamehaʻikana

This mural was made in collaboration with Ke Kula o Samuel M. Kamakau and the graduating class of 2024 and 2025 telling the story of Kamehaʻikana. Kamehaʻikana is a kiaʻi, a guardian, of Haʻikū, where the school is located. We wanted to honor her through this painting as a way to thank her for watching over us. She has many forms some of them being a reptilian deity, a human woman, and ulu (breadfruit), which all can be seen represented in the mural.
